Who handles your data
The Answer the Call team is the data controller for this site and for the data it collects at answerthecallgame.com. Contact: support@answerthecallgame.com.
What we collect, and why
- Email for notifications: if you sign up through the form on the home page, we store your email solely to write to you when there is significant news about the game. Legal basis: your consent. You can ask us to delete it by writing to the address above.
- Account (if you sign in with Google or Microsoft): we store your email and a provider identifier, only so we can recognise you if you come back.
- Free trial (if you start the 2-hour trial): we store the play time you have used, the date you started it and, if you arrived from a campaign, which one (for example, the name of a promotional link). This makes the trial work and tells us which campaigns work. We also store a cryptographic hash of your email (not the email itself) so the trial can't be repeated. That hash is not deleted when you delete your account — that is exactly what stops the trial being repeated — and it is removed automatically after 24 months. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and measuring our campaigns (GDPR art. 6.1.f). You can object by writing to the address above: we will delete your balance and campaign origin, and keep the email hash only if needed to prevent abuse of the trial.
- Purchase: if you buy the game, the transaction is processed byPaddle.com, Inc., our payment processor and the legal seller of record — we never see or store your card details. Paddle acts as an independent controller of that data under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors — it only counts visits in aggregate.
Who we share data with
- Cloudflare (hosts the site and the database).
- Paddle.com, Inc. (processes payments; the legal seller in your transaction).
- Google or Microsoft, only if you choose to sign in with them.
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to the address above. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, or with the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
